What – Live in Blue Bay-2013
Where – Koktebel, Ukraine
When – September 4-8, 2013
All fans of cool jazz music – welcome!
“Happiness in every sound” is the slogan of the First Ukrainian International Non-commercial Jazz Festival “Live in Blue Bay” to start today. And that really is so. In fact, jazz is considered to be music for yuppies and middle-aged people, but Koktebel is bringing together people of all ages and preferences except for a single thing. They all are fond of jazz – non-commercial, sincere, truthful music that is really worth listening.
It should be noted that this entertaining project is considered to be one of the “velvet season” key music events. Its main advantages – free access for all who wish to attend and open-air format – make “Live in Blue Bay” one of the most breathless and immense events. The “Live in Blue Bay” Fest was created as an alternative to those music business projects to sell so-called “easy-to-listen” music. The main stage of “Live in Blue Bay” gathers more than six thousand spectators and more than a hundred of professional musicians annually, i.e. attendants demonstrate a greater demand for higher-quality music.
Festival program includes jam-sessions, press-presentations, concerts, art fair, celebratory events. Two stages (“Dolphin” and “Breeze”) work every day till the midnight, as well as Bohema art-café – the famous place of creative improvisations and groove jam-sessions. The Fest marks the first significant anniversary in 2013: 5 years of annual working. For these 5 years “Live in Blue Bay” ’s stage received such world well known musicians as Nino Katamadze (Georgia), Mezzoforte (Iceland), Amina Figarova (Belgium), BRASIL BOSSANOVA (Brasil), Keksy band (Latvia), Impact Fuze (Russia-France) and others. This year Bireli Lagrene (France), Orquestra do Fubá (Brazil), Incognito (Great Britain), Andreas Oberg (Sweden) and many others are expected.
If you have some free days in the Crimea, visiting Jazz Festival “Live in Blue Bay” may be cool for you and your beloved Ukrainian lady, as one can know, women love those men to know about jazz music.
