World Teacher’s Day

Absorbed by what memories are you at words like “teacher” and “teaching”? A warm glow of sweet and bitter nostalgia? Thoughts about “too much school work (hate-hate-hate it)”? And the old words “Welcome class! Please take your seats and let’s begin” kept ringing in your ears, didn’t they? Today is the 5th of October and this is the day to think about all your old teachers! Enjoy World Teacher’s Day!

So they say that the best teachers teach what we can’t learn from books. Indeed, indeed, it is! The most valuable experience is the experience to learn, to look up information, to use it and to make the best of circumstances. If a good teacher teaches anything, he\she teaches that. However, there are different teachers, among them boring and fun, strict and workaholics, clever and bad (they are so). Teacher is considered to be one of the most exhausting and hard professions in the world. A simple funny calculation: teaching takes 65 hours per week for 36 weeks, it equals 2340 work hours annually. What about other jobs? 40 hours per week for 52 weeks equals 2080 work hours annually. That is the reason for summer teachers’ vacation, you see? Teachers work hard, they are given responsibility of children’s life and security. Hmmm, what about constant home phone calls, answering skype and e-mails, offering extra help to those who need it? Nervous job, isn’t it?

And only one day in a year when people say “thank you, I really appreciated your efforts” for teachers all over the world, – World Teachers’ Day. It celebrates annually on October 5th since 1994. World Teachers’ Day is internationally recognized and observed by more than 100 countries. It aims to highlight the importance of the teacher’s profession. This job is believed to be respected and prestigious through the ages. A part of the gorgeous Russian girls from Step2love work as teachers or study teaching, and they are proud of their choice and appreciate their profession. They clever deal with people, get along with just about anybody and “run with” the children. So treat them well!

Enjoy World Teachers’ Day and congratulate your own teachers! They would be truly pleased!
