International Food Day

The way to a man’s (as well as woman’s) heart is through his\her stomach. Russian ladies know all about this matter, that is why they cook divinely, share family recipes and try something new in cooking. Food in all great variety is one of the best people’s ideas. Variety is considered to be the mother of enjoyment. Nowadays, cooking has even become easier than ever before. People have a brilliant chance to enjoy a great variety of food, especially its national kinds.

We can eat healthier food than had before – a lot of organic food and vegan dishes prove it. Modern transport system and different cooking equipment (among them microwave ovens, electric multi-cookers, steamers, rice cookers, coffee-makers and many others) do their part – we save more time for our own needs. It reduces cooking time and we can prepare our meal quickly and properly. We can choose the place of eating – at home, at restaurants, at cafes, at fast food diners or lunch stores. As a rule, a food variety is considerable at home, because one can cook from traditional foods with the guarantee of food quality, so one can feel healthy and quietness when eating at home.

We all love food, especially if it concerns natural, organic and healthy one, but we actually don’t wonder about where it came from or who grew different food ingredients. We never think in fact about hunger and starving. Have you ever thought about what means to not have enough food? Most people really don’t take care about those who are starving every day in the world. It really hurts to wonder about it. Well, let’s think about it even if only today – in International Food Day.

World Food Day is annually celebrated on 16 October all around the world. It commemorates the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. “Sustainable Food Systems for Food Security and Nutrition” is the 2013 official theme of World Food Day. It highlights the hunger problems in the world and solutions to problems. International Food Day helps to draw world’s attention to the issue of global movement to end hunger. So let’s choose healthy nutritious foods for yourselves and your families and take care of it every day.
