What could be better than a romantic city tour around one of the most romantic Ukrainian cities – the city of Lviv? This ancient city wrapped in a mystery has a special charm of romance. Everything speaks to you of Lviv’s romantic spirit, among them are urban landscapes, narrow paved ancient streets, cozy courtyards and, of course, local city legends as well. First the viewing platform on Lviv High Castle Hill should be mentioned. It is best to visit in early morning to avoid the tourist crowds there. Castle Hill is believed to be the highest point of the city and may offer you a spectacular view of the whole city. A Lovers Bench is also worth sitting. Located behind the Ratusha Tower, it is considered to be rather young city sightseeing as well. A Lovers Bench was created by 10 blacksmiths during the Blacksmiths Lviv Festival in 2008, and then installed on the Rynok (Market) Square. Two lions support the bench guarding the lovers in such a way. There is a local legend saying if a couple together, hand in hand, sin on the bench at the same time, their love will last forever. Swan Lake, called so because of swans there, is located in Stryisky Park, considering one of the most romantic places in Lviv. Many sweethearts walk there hand in hand, watching swan couples in the park lake, so you can hardly find a free bench to relax.
